Karlee started working with Black Iron Nutrition coach Ryann in April of 2023 with a primary goal of losing weight and a secondary goal of gaining strength. By November of that year she had already lost over 26 pounds and 6 inches from her waist, all while increasing her daily calories from approximately 2000 to 2300-2400 calories.

From November 2023 to April 2024, Karlee continued to make phenomenal progress, maintaining her weight, building muscle, and hitting new PRs in the gym. In April 2024, she started her first cutting phase, a 10-week cut, where she achieved remarkable results, losing an additional 8 pounds and 1.5 inches from her waist. In total, Karlee has lost over 34 pounds and 7.5 inches from her waist in just over a year!

Reflecting on her journey, Karlee shared, “Before joining Black Iron Nutrition, I had spent years yo-yo dieting, losing weight then putting it right back on over and over again. When I started with Ryann, I was prepared to be restrictive and starve myself because that’s what I thought you had to do to lose weight. But she had me eating more than I ever have before! I was skeptical, but I decided to trust her, and I’m so glad I did! The weight and the inches steadily came off, all while gaining muscle and hitting PRs on ALL of my lifts. But more importantly, my mindset around food and my body completely changed. This wasn’t a fad diet, but a balanced lifestyle that prioritized protein AND dessert that I know I will stick to for the long haul. I couldn’t be happier and I’m so excited for more PRs ahead!”
