WHAT HAPPENED TO THE NEW YEAR CHALLENGE?

If you’re familiar with Black Iron, you know we’ve done a 3-month New Year Challenge the last 4 years and Black Friday Sales in 2022 and 2023 where we sold 6 and 12 month coaching. We felt this was overwhelming, so we simplified by combining everything into one End Of Year sale where we discount our services for a January 1, 2025 start date.

Given most clients who were joining the Challenge weren’t trying to “win” and many also stuck around long after the 3 months is over, we decided to do away with choosing “winners”. Instead, we’re encouraging you to go your own pace without a “make the most progress!” competition attached. You can make a lot of change in 3 months with serious consistency, but can you do life changing work in 6 month. Don’t even get us started on longer than 6 months!

RETURNING NUTRITION CLIENTS

When you apply your account will be automatically restored. You will be emailed a new sign-in link. After you sign in, you will be directed to a payment page, please enter your payment details, and submit your payment.

After you have completed your payment, please send a message to your coach, requesting an account reset. An account reset will wipe all of your previous check-ins and allow you to update your previous assessment form so you may start fresh. If you would like a copy of your old data, please let your coach know, this can only be done before an account reset.

CURRENT NUTRITION CLIENTS

We are thrilled you are here with us! To take advantage of the EOY sale, please complete the form, and select the options you wish to participate in. After you choose, “Pay Now”, you will be directed to a FAQ page instead of a payment page. We will receive this form, notify your coach, and set up your billing.

Payments will be processed using your default payment method on file with us during the business week within 72 hours of your submission. If you wish to update your payment information prior to the charge, please log into, www.clients.blackironnutrition.com/coach/account, and navigate to the billing area.

If your current subscription is scheduled to renew before January 1, 2025, it will proceed as planned, and purchased time will be added to the end of your billing cycle.

For example:

  • If you are on a monthly subscription with a next billing date of December 28, 2024, and you purchase a 6-month plan during the End of Year Sale, your monthly subscription will renew on December 28, 2024, extending your paid period to January 28, 2025.

  • Your 6-month purchase will then extend your paid period further, covering you until July 28, 2025.

  • After your EOY paid time is up you will automatically switch back to the subscription service and pricing you are currently on. If you wish to make any changes to this, please notify us.

CURRENT TRAINING CLIENTS

Purchasing a training program does not automatically cancel your monthly subscription. You will need to cancel your monthly subscription through TrainHeroic, How to cancel a TrainHeroic Subscription. This is something we cannot do for you. Please note that TrainHeroic automatically removes you from your training program on your billing date.

If you purchase training on or before December 30th your invitation to your training program will be sent by December 31st, 2024. If you submit payment between December 31st, and January 1, you will be invited on January 1. Training programs are published week by week by Sunday at 3 PM PST.

WHAT IF I DON’T NEED ANY TRAINING?

Training is entirely FREE in addition to discounted nutrition coaching services and in no way factored into the price. If you don’t need any training services, you can select “No Thanks, I’ll Pass on Free Training” in the drop down for the training selection!

I NEED HELP CHOOSING A TRAINING PROGRAM, CAN YOU EXPLAIN THEM TO ME?

  • This program is for anyone looking to use a well rounded fitness approach to both improve body composition and increase their overall fitness level simultaneously. Meant to be done in a one-hour time block, this program will consist of a warm up, main lift, accessory superset, and finish with a conditioning piece. If improving your aesthetics while also feeling the positive effects of a well-built fitness program is your goal - BODY is for you!

    This 5x/week program is split into two upper-body focused days, two lower-body focused days, and one day focused on sprint interval training consisting of running, burpees, and bodyweight movements. It is easily modifiable and there will be movement substitutions for those looking to work through the program with minimal equipment.

  • This dumbbell and bodyweight only program is for anyone with limited access to gym equipment and wants to get an effective, FUNctional workout done in 40 minutes or less. This “do it anywhere” program will sharpen your physique, boost your energy levels, and have you feeling fit AF with minimal time commitment.

    This 5x/week program is split into two upper-body days, two lower-body days, and one “Core & More” day. After the bread and butter DB moves, you’ll have a quick and spicy circuit. Like our other programs, you’ll see progressive overload in structured training cycles that last 4-6 weeks.

  • This program is for the barbell aficionado. Nothing feels better than loading up some weight on the bar and getting after it. There’s also no better way to become your strongest and most powerful self. For that reason, barbell movements dominate this program, with the main objective being to maximize strength and power with a solid mix of powerlifting movements (squat/bench/deadlift) and weightlifting movements (snatch/clean and jerk).

    This 5x/week program will progress through various distinct phases, alternating the focus between powerlifting, weightlifting, and many accessory exercises. While the barbell is heavily used throughout; dumbbells, kettlebells, and body weight movements will also be implemented when needed to provide a balanced strength profile.

  • This program is for lifters who want to be in shape, and runners who want to be strong. If you’re a runner, you’ve probably heard that lifting makes you bulky and slow, and if you’re a lifter you’ve probably heard that cardio kills gains. Luckily, neither of these things are true. With this expertly written program, we balance the unique stresses of running and lifting so that you can get the best of both worlds. Research shows that the health benefits of lifting AND running far outweigh the benefits of doing either alone. So if you want to be your fittest, fastest, and strongest self, this program is for you.

    This 5x/week program is split into 2-3 weekly running days and 2-3 weekly lifting days. The running days all incorporate three workout options based on the distance you are training for or your current running ability (5k, 10k, half marathon).

  • This program is for recreational trail runners, mountain climbers, hikers, and/or backcountry skiers/riders wanting to improve uphill performance on challenging terrain with a pack on by building a big aerobic base and strong legs. In addition to keeping you in uphill shape all year, this will also help you take on longer and steeper adventures over time. VERT has helped people summit (and occasionally ski) 4000-6000m volcanoes, build weekly mileage to complete their first unsupported ultra distance, hike/climb the CA and CO 14-ers, or simply stay in great shape year-round in order to be able to say YES to more big days outside. If you don’t have local access to trails or mountains, this program will be great for you, as it helps you mimic these things if you don’t have them nearby.

    There are 2-3 lifting workouts and 4-5 endurance workouts programmed a week. Lifting has a primary focus on functional single length strength and secondary emphasis on core, back, and shoulders. All lifting workouts can be DB-only. Weekday endurance workouts are programmed as trail runs with the option to road/treadmill run, treadmill incline walk, stair-step, or do step-ups instead. You have a long, specific session each weekend that can be a hike, summit, trail run, ski tour, etc. You have the option to move workouts around in order to train 5 or 6 days a week.

CAN I CHANGE MY TRAINING PROGRAM OR SWITCH COACHES?

We understand how important it is to feel connected with your coach and enjoy the training program you are on, this is why we are always open to discussing changes and offer a Good Fit Policy. We do not recommend program hopping and suggest choosing the training program you will most likely stick to, and enjoy as consistency yields the best results.

THE COACH I WANT TO WORK WITH ISN’T ON THE APPLICATION OR IS WAITLISTED?

If you do not see your preferred coach listed on the application, that coach is not currently taking clients in that program. If your desired coach is waitlisted, they most likely will not have a spot up before January 1, 2025, especially if they already have people on their waitlist.
