ALCOHOL MACRO CALCULATOR
This alcohol calculator was created for the sole purpose of determining how many calories IS EQUIVALENT to the alcohol you consumed so that you can account for it in your calorie count when tracking. Remember that alcohol is its own chemical structure and is NOT made up of protein, carbohydrates, or fat.
This calculator is simply calculating what the macronutrient equivalent is to the alcohol you have consumed, which is the most accurate way to track alcohol.
The ABV calculator can be used to estimate the amount of calories in a beer or a glass of wine. However, it is important to note that not all beer and wine are the same, and some may have more or less calories, but this will give you a good estimate. This calculator does not account for the additional calories from sugar found in mixed cocktails, ciders, etc.
Using the calculator below, enter the amount of calories or volume of liquid and hit enter. Then use the sliding scale to adjust how much you want to track as carbohydrates and how much you want to track as fat.

A bit about alcohol and its impact on the body: Alcohol is a chemical structure that acts as a depressant in your body. Not only does it depress the central nervous system (being “drunk”) but it depresses many other systems in the body, including the metabolic system. The chemical name for alcohol is ethanol, and the body must absorb it in separate steps. Ethanol is a toxin and has priority to be eliminated from the body. This causes the metabolism of fats and sugars to slow while there is still alcohol left to be attended to. In addition to this, alcohol impairs the body’s ability to absorb vitamins and nutrients from the food you consume as it damages the gastrointestinal tract.
We’re certainly not saying you should never drink; we believe in finding a nutrition plan that fits your lifestyle. Just remember that if you want to drink, you need to find ways to make it work and not push you farther away from your goals.
