TESTIMONIAL
Almost 4 years of working with coach Manders and Black Iron Nutrition! During my most recent check-in, Manders pointed out that we’ve completely changed my body composition and that I should step back and look at my photos side by side from when I started.

What you don’t see here is a huge difference in my relationship with food. You might think having a nutrition coach is a bit extreme when you mainly do CrossFit for fun, but it’s helped me to (mostly) achieve that balance with food, training and the rest of my life.

I came to Black Iron Nutrition as a serial dieter, always just wanting to cut down my food to ‘look like I do CrossFit’. Instead we’ve spent 4 years building up my metabolism through eating more food, prioritising recovery and building my strength and fitness. I learned that in order to do well in CrossFit, you REALLY need to eat a lot.

This mental health awareness month, I’d like to remind you that you don’t need to ‘look’ a certain way to feel validated in a sport. Focusing on performance rather than how you look makes the whole process much more enjoyable. And funnily enough, I think 2019 Marge would be so excited to see where I’m at now.
