TESTIMONIAL
I joined Black Iron Nutrition for a couple reasons:
1) I realized I could not out-train a bad diet
2) (most important) My father had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease and my sister and I saw him eating a lot of super unhealthy food because of “ease”, but it didn’t occur to us how bad this was. When he finally got to a point where he couldn’t live by himself or take care of himself financially, my sister and I saw his credit card bills, he had been eating fast food almost every single day at least once, sometimes twiceHe was not eating things to take care of himself and this directly attributed to his very stark decline when it started to happen.
Several times during my process (I’ve been here a few years), if I ever thought about stopping as I didn’t think I was seeing the results I wanted, I thought back to seeing those credit card statements and just how thankful I am for having coaches and people that really help you understand BALANCE (Kelly would say I have this) and making good decisions. I may not have the STARK transitions that a lot of people get using Black Iron Nutrition, but my progress and growth has been metered and steady. Which is a more sustainable outcome in my eyes. My life has changed. My view on food has changed. But the most important thing is that I don’t ever feel bad for eating something I want. I don’t feel like my body will ever take the downward trajectory his did. For the simple fact that I eat for fuel and life.
I was really scared in the beginning because I didn’t do CrossFit. I was a runner. But Krissy told me in an email that the program works if you are sitting on the couch. You don’t have to do CrossFit. And I can say that is absolutely true.
