QUIANA WELCH

she/her

Quiana started her athletic career as a competitive gymnast, competing until the age of 11. During middle school and into college she played volleyball. Then in 2009, she played professional women’s football for the Legends Football League (the LFL) as a running back and safety.

She later moved to NYC and struggled to decide what she wanted to do next. Her friends and family had begged her for years to do a bodybuilding competition so she decided to give that a shot. She trained for two months and quickly became to muscular to compete in the bikini category, so she took some time off from working out to reevaluate her goals. After a year had passed she decided to train to compete in the figure category. She ended up placing 3rd in her class with only a few months of targeted training.

In 2013 she started working at a CrossFit gym and quickly realized that bodybuilding wasn’t the sport for her. She started competing in 2010 and was apart of two CrossFit regional teams and was an athlete with the Boston Iron Grid team for two seasons. She then swapped to the sport of Weightlifting where she went on to earn various champion medals and American records.

Quiana is now a mother two beautiful kids, Langston and Naya, and is living life in Reno navigating life as both a working Mom and athlete.
