NICOLE ROGGOW
she/her
Nicole was born in Staten Island, NY. She was a division 1 basketball player at Hofstra University in Long Island, NY where she graduated with a degree in Exercise Science. Nicole found CrossFit in college as an intern and soon after graduation began coaching and competing in the sport. She has been to CF Regionals 4x (2x team, 2x individual), and the CF Games once on a team in 2016. She was a duel sport athlete her entire exercise carreer (CrossFit and Weightlifting) and has lifted in 10 USAW National meets.
In 2014, while competing in weightlifting and cutting to the 63kg class, Nicole wrote a blog post "How Donuts Gave Me Abs and an 80kg Snatch" that caught fire on the internet. This blog was simply a testimonial of how the macronutrient based nutrition approach had worked so much better for her than her current and very popular at the time, paleo-style nutrition approach. The blog took off and Nicole was soon being asked to coach nutrition by so many eager-to-learn readers all over the world.
With only a solid coaching background in training and fitness by this point, Nicole decided she would expand her knowledge and learn as much as she could about coaching nutrition in order to help as many people as she could. She turned to Krissy's resources and information to absorb and learn as much as she was able to. From there, Nicole ran Honor Your Nutrition for 4 years before joining the staff at Black Iron Nutrition.
